I've been to Tanzania three times now (once to Nigert) and have used African Outdoor Expeditions each time. I climbed Kili and visited the northern game parks on my 1st trip. Than toured the southern game parks on my 2nd. I spent the last trip visiting Zanzibar and seeing some places that are not on the typical itineary. The most beautiful being Empakaai Crater in the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. Their web-site is (www.aoe-ltd.com). The web-site includes a chart on annual rainfall by month, and suggestions as to the best time to visit the various parks. Typically the dry season is best due to the grasses being short (making it easier to see the animals) and the animals congregating around the water holes making them easier to find. The dry seasons typically run from June to September and December to February in Tanzania. Many safari outfitters in the U.S. contract with local companies in TZ so I chose to contact one directly and save some money.
