News from Puku Ridge
Got an e-mail from Judy, manager at Puku Ridge and she said during the last week a leopard was drinking from the swimming pool twice and there was a lion kill between the tents! Wish I was there now!

Wow...that would have been an awesome sight...anybody that is familiar with Puku Ridge knows that the swimming pool is one of those infinity type pools that just kind of spills over the edge and it overlooks the large marsh or plain or whatever you want to call it.
About the lion kill between the tents, I can totally believe that. I did have some fear of the lions during my last stay...I did not think I was going to die like I did at Mbuzi Mawe in the Serengeti, but a nice healthy fear that helped keep me on my toes!

I forgot to mention in my trip report, but we had lions at Lebala in camp on my final night there. However, they were long gone by the AM drive. It took 5 trucks to track them down after a long wild goose chase in every possible direction.
Hyenas spoor in the lounge from the prior night was a common feature also
