name issue

my ticket has only my middle name and surname but my passport has my first name,middle name and last name. am i likely to encounter any problems while travellling?

Depends on which side of the bed immigration officials got up on that morning. Get it fixed to be safe.

I agree - get it changed.

I had a plane ticket issued in my common name rather the legal name on my passport and was given grief at Joburg airport.

They eventually let me check in but it was a lesson learned.

I think, it creates a problem because the name of traveller is compulsory.
You should ask to that where you confirm you tickets and you can change your name

While middle names/initials are not required first and last names are. I would not attempt to fly as it stands. There is a good chance your first problem would be denied boarding to the first plane.
