Meerkat photography
Dear friends,
I am a german wildlife-photographer and plan to do a book about Meerkats.
Does anybody know where I can take pictures of free living Meerkats in Southafrica, preferably Gauteng, Northern Province or North-West. I would like to spend one or two weeks with this animals.
Thanks for help!

is a place where they are guaranteed.
Another one but in Botswana is Jack's Camp and Camp Kalahari respectively Planet Baobab. All uncharted africa camps.

All those camps mentioned visit the same habituated meerkat colony (or maybe colonies by now.) If you wish to spend several weeks, that could get quite expensive, but what I way to spend your money.
You may not be able to visit them every day as visits are scheduled, so you could check it out.
You mentioned South Africa and I know there are meerkats there. Sorry no info.

Good boy ;-)
Really - Meercats are found in semiarid/arid areas as Kalahari. I would contact the Frankfurt Zoologische Gesellschaft which is very active in TAZ e.g. and ask for their advise before I shovel loads of $ towards destinations without having success.
