Really appreciate this board! One more question: What with two cell phones, a camera battery, and a Cpap machine to charge and/or power up, we'll be needing multiple outlets. I'm thinking a six-way extension cord would be handy because you can't count on hotels having multiple convenient outlets. I already have two adapters for South African electrical outlets but I'm wondering what type or size electrical cord I should take, given South Africa's 220V system vs. the U.S. 120 system. Would this require a heavier duty (usually orange from what I've seen) U.S. extension cord or would an ordinary cord suffice?

I use ordinary cords. It's not the voltage that matters, it's the power (wattage) - volts x amps = watts. Neither your CPAP nor your other devices (or all together) will draw enough amps to cause any worries. However I'd get a long grounded cord - the outlets might be a long way away.
