Funny. Thanks Tom and Arthur. Actually, I did put thought into it, and I still said "right" side. Ha. I thought I had thought it through! So "correct" is a good idea, or as Arthur said, the left side right side.
I was able to switch my bungalows to exactly what I want:
2 days in Lower Sabie, 2 days in Satara, 2 days in Skukuza, and one day in Berg-en-Dal, as an exit camp. Amazing.
I can't figure out how to sign up for walks/drives on the website. Any hints?
Tom, I sent your link to my daughter in Ghana, so she can see the photos.
Thanks again.

Happy to hear you got those bungalows. We've done a couple of walk/drives but always made reservation when at the camp. But did you see this page?
http://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger...ided_walks.php
Did you make bungalow reserv and changes by telephone or email?
Hope your daughter also enjoys those photos. If you didn't discover it, all my Fodor safari photos, 6 safaris, are up there - http://tomgraham.smugmug.com/
Stay in touch.

Audrey,
This looks like it's really coming together! I'm a bit jealous; I've been longing to do another Kruger trip for some time. At one point I was thinking of going in November but other things have come up.
I've always booked sunset/night drives and walks by replying to the e-mail that is sent confirming my reservations (I've always done reservations by e-mail or their online booking system). The link that Tom provided would work, too. You can book these when you get there, but you do run the risk of missing out if they fill up with people who made reservations. I think that October is low-season, though, so you may be fine.
(By the way, I missed your earlier posts. I'm glad Tom was able to help you out!)

Thanks again everyone. I'm always so grateful for these posts. It's like little gnomes are helping me.
Do you plan guided things each day, or do some on your own?
I am planning on renting a car, (and not driving on the right side!)
Tom, I added the new changes on the website, then was afraid to cancel my old ones without confirming that the new ones had gone through, so I did that on the phone. I saw about 43 photos, so I am guessing that was just Kruger? But there was that luxurious lodging, so maybe not.
Do "Gritty" and Tom know each other? Or just on line? Just curious.
Thanks again.

"Do you plan guided things each day, or do some on your own?"
We (little gnomes) mostly just do everything in Kruger on our own. A typical day is like, try to get up early, 6am, have quick breakfast in camp restaurant, then hit the road in our rental car. At around noonish stop at another camp and have leisurely lunch. Back in the car by 2pm and "game drive" until back in home camp before 6pm. Cleanup and dinner at home camp restaurant. No TV in room to watch so early to bed with plan to get up early next morning and go again. We have also done up early and out, back to home camp room before noon, lunch, relax/nap until about 3pm, back out until 6pm, dinner. You get the idea.
That photo link to Kruger 2009 has more than Kruger photos. The first page (actually 22 photos) is Kruger, next two are Kings Camp and Kirkmans. Each photo has a caption for camp location.
I don't know Gritty. But maybe they know me (if they're lucky ). And Gritty has, no, none, zip, info on their profile. And BTW, neither do you. It would help sometimes to know at least what part of the world a poster is from. For example a person from Europe has a different perspective on flying to Africa than I do. For them it is a 9-10 hour one flight and maybe 1 hour time change. For me it is minimum two flights, 30 hours door-to-door and 9 hours time change. In other words, someone from Europe might not mind popping down to Kruger for a week, but for me a week only is not worth it. I do about three weeks when I go - and FWIW it is 100% safari

I didn't even realize I had a profile! So now it has some info...
I am preparing for loooooong flights. I leave from the Bay Area for DC on a Thursday, spend the night with my family, leave for SA on Friday, get there on Saturday, and after a night in JNB, go to Kruger the next day. Then when I fly to Ghana, I am taking an insane flight to Egypt first!!! But it was the cheapest thing I could find.
Next task is to figure out shots, and what I am doing those last few days in SA, before I go to Ghana.

Latest questions have arrived in my brain. Thanks for the link re
the walks/ drives. I am signing up for a sunset drive and a morning walk in Lower Sabie, since that is our first stop, and I am signing up for a night drive in Satara, which is our second stop. At that point I figure I will be acclimated enough to do it on my own, but I am wondering if I should sign up for anymore. I am thinking i will drive to Oliphants while staying in Satara. Satara also has morning walks and sunset drives, and Skuzuu has sunrise drives, night drives and morning and afternoon walks.
Any thoughts from the gnomes?

You know that your driving about outside camp in your car is limited to daylight hours, typically 6am-6pm. So to do a sunset or night drive it has to be with a Kruger group/drive.
My impression is that the Kruger provided drives/walks are reasonably available whenever, not very full/crowded. I would wait until you are there and get a better feel for it all. And talk with the camp office/rangers about what is available at your camp and nearby camps.
My experience is very limited compared to many of those on the Kruger web site forum. That Kruger forum would probably give you more and better ideas. But I'm still happy to spout my 2 cents
