Phil- For next year it is waaaaayyy too early to tell. The rains, the rains, the rains. I use this site to see how the migration is, but one year they entirely skipped coming to the Mara because of the rains in Tanzania. They only come there for the grass when the rains are finished in Tanzania.

I'm not sure just where the Mara Intrepids is on the Mara. I would personally stay at the Mara Serena. Almost everyone who stays there brings back wonderful stories. I haven't stayed at either place.
Will the Wildebeests be there next August? Don't know. We all have our favorite place to gamble on and I would gamble on the Serena. If you're willing to drive for miles, almost anyplace on the Mara will get you some view of the Wildies. August is early in the Migration, depending on the rain in Tanzania. Just read back over this whole thread. It is at best confusing. Liz
