Don't know what your budget is, but I would definitely consider flying park to park. You can fly from the airstrip at Amboseli to Nairobi. Change planes in 15 minutes and be in Samburu 45 minutes later. You can also fly from Samburu to the Mara. This would be far more comfortable and save you a lot of time for game watching and relaxing. Many of the lodges have fly-in packages which include your flight and two nights at your lodge (you can include extra nights if you wish).
