Brilliant photos as always Kaye!
So many cats and gorgeous little cubs. As usual you also caught some of the difficult to photo animals with honey badger, civet, and one of the best bushbaby photos I have seen. I also always appreciate that you get some wonderful bird photos too.
Thanks for sharing another wonderful trip.

Hi Bill
Thank-you Bill. I do absolutely love getting some of the more uncommon things plus getting a great bird photo can be very tricky! So if I can get a good one I am really happy.
It never fails to amaze me when some of my fellow guests after two or three nights, so four or six gamedrives, on the last drive will say how happy they are to have seen everything! I am not close to seeing everything!
Kind regards
Kaye

Wonderful photos, you certainly timed your visit well. Most of the critters are familiar to me, though I haven't seen the Styx cubs, maybe they'll make it to January.
Of course I'm most jealous of the Natal Robin, that's a bird I have not seen at MM.

Gee Kaye...a few of your photos look soooo familiar~lol! I really enjoyed reading all your captions too. We were so lucky to share our game drives with you! I still can't believe the trip is here and gone. Those Styx cubs were so entertaining, especially the naughty little boy (dark one). I took more videos than photos and it's so great to be able to re-live it all.
Oh, and about the last day that we won't mention....it would have been even worse because my 1 day old batteries died and I wouldn't have been able to capture it....but we are not talking about it! I thought I was going to be sick when that happened. (note to self...take lots more batteries next time I decide to take mostly videos on my Canon S2)
I am so envious that you are headed back so soon. I will have to live vicariously through you and the cyberdiary for awhile.
Thank you! <

Hi Matt
I suspected that you might be a touch jealous of the Natal Robin. Tom was so excited when he saw it, so I went back to my room and looked it up. It was the first time Tom had seen it at MalaMala, so I was beside myself when I spotted it a few days later. From then on I saw it quite a few times. I also hope most of the Styx Pride cubs make it. The cubs I saw were mainly female so they would help make a formidable pride.
Hi Carla
I haven't seen you at all for ages on this chatline, although I have been on rather randomly lately myself trying to catch up on my photos. You were all wonderful vehicle companions, I wish I was so lucky all the time! Nothing is worse than being at a fabulous sighting and running out of batteries or space on your cards. I am more than happy for you to live through me, next time at MM - no problem!
You are more than welcome and yes, we are not talking about the day I left!
Kind regards
