I was there for about 16 days and saw all I wanted to see.

I cruised the Nile for a full week and had a Suite on the boat cruise.( I got lucky !!)

With the extra days in Cairo and then going to Alexandria, I was ready to come home .

But if you have time and want to see other places then for sure go for it.
See as much as you can in Egypt.

Hi There

NoI have not been to Mt.Sinai or St. Catherines Monastery...because I did not want to go there.

I wanted to see more between Alexandria and Abu Simble.

How did I get a Suite;

Yep, I am special!!

Our Tour Guide was named Mohammed.
He and I got along absolutely perfectly... we just hit it off from Day #1.!

When we got to Luxor (flew there) and had to board the cruise boat...Mohammed was in charge of designating the room to the group.

When my name came up he reached over (away from the rest of the room keys) and handed me this key which was rather fancy looking.

I thought nothing of it until I got to my room ...opened the door and said to myself..

"There must be some mistake."

I went back down to talk to Mohammed and before I could say anything..he had this big grin on his face and he said to me "How do you like the Room I gave you."

Only then did I realize I had a three room Suite on the top floor facing the front of the boat with five huge windows and my own priavte deck.

Special...No. Lucky ...Yes !!!!

Take Care
Percy

Hi Janish:

How are you going, small group tour or on your own..??

Will it be hot in October

I went in October and it was hot in Luxor and Hot in Aswan.

I got used to it . You are in shorts all the time except when you go into Mosques.

Go in October, don't put it off because of the hotter weather.

You are cruising the Nile , sitting on the top deck watching the sun go down( The Nile Sunset are really something !)....

and sipping a beer and waving to the people on the shoreline... it is a great cruise down the Nile!

Enjoy
Percy

hey janish -from one Louisiana gal to another - just wanted to tell you to have a GREAT time!

We lived in Egypt for 4 years and LOVED it! I always figured that growing up in New Orleans was my best preparation for living in Cairo!

Egypt is not always an easy place to deal with (pollution, traffic, trash, etc), but the people are spectacular - so keep your sense of humor and you will be fine!

annhig

Thanks, and glad you liked my report even though it is 2 years old.!

But the report is about as accurate now as it was then.

Hope you enjoy Egypt when you go there.
