Jogging in CT

My 14 year old son will be visitng CT and is a keen jogger. Where will he be safe running alone during the day on the Atlantic seaboard? Thanks.

The best bet is along the promonade which runs from Three Anchor Bay through to Bantry Bay. It's perfectly safe during the day (sections of it are even fine at night!) and has the added benefit of being right along the water's edge.

Safe from what? Sand sharks, shoreline yuppies trying to preserve their spots along the sea, suburban/urban terrorists, other joggers with dogs/strollers? There are lots places to jog in Connecticut...not many of them along the coast in urban areas where you might feel uncomfortable-remember when Ct was settled, those areas are all industrialized. The state beaches in Fairfield, New Haven,Middlesex, and New London counties have board walks just for this purpose.
