Okay let me be the first one to say this...

Mitch, now you are being childish. More than a dozen Fodorites have reached out, all of us in your support, but you have refused to even acknowledge us.

If I had quit Fodors every time one of my threads has been censored, I would have been out of here years ago...and it would have been MY LOSS.

What you have done is allow some troll (traveller99) to win. How in the hell does a guy who owns one of the best Africa websites on the internet allow a troll to win and drive him off the best Africa forum on the internet?

I think the fodor's moderators were guilty of premature evacuation of that thread (which was quite funny with his pompous attitude and all)and because of that, we lost bwanamitch, a very helpful fodorite. come back bwana!

Hi Mitch,

I missed this post. Whatever was said or however you feel about being censored, I empathize, it's not a nice feeling, I know.

I'm sure you had good intentions.

At any rate... all I can offer is:
Give it some time and then put it behind you.

The board is better for your input.

Look forward to your return when you are ready.

Thank you for all your feedback! You people are really great.

I'm afraid in some way I'm addicted to you. Does anyone know a withdrawal treatment? (Marathon with Rocco?)

So here I'm back.

Yeah!!!!! =D> Welcome back!

I must have missed original thread that prompted your departure. This is what happens when you go away for a few days.

We both love the clear nights in Makgadikgadi Pans, under Scorpio and the Southern Cross, drinking some Rioja, watching the Magellan Clouds... and listening to singing aardvarks... (or is it just the wine?)

kavey,
I've just finished my current projects, and 16-hour work days and the stress are gone. Now I can concentrate on my forthcoming trip...

24 days and counting...

benidormaardvark,
thank you, but this night I have to unpack 140 rolls of film.

...and during compilation times I've made some interesting research:

What about a combined southern Tanzania / northern Mozambique safari?

I don't have to tell you about southern Tanzania... but what about this:

Lugenda Bush Camp (www.raniresorts.com/resorts/lugenda.php),
opening planned for next month

Lake Macungue Safari Lodge (www.maluane.com),
opening planned for 2006

And there are also new undiscovered areas in southern Mozambique:
www.dolimpopo.com

I liked TheSpanishTownAardvark much more. He wasn't always coming up with new ways to bankrupt me.

Dept: accommodations that won't ruin you (financially)

napamatt, Amans Paradise (www.amans-paradise.com) offers a nice accommodation at Lake Manyara NP for your next Ngorongoro trip:

(don't know if the bike is inclusive)

Oh Mr. Bwanamitch, I AM so relieved you have returned. ;-)

But I like Leely, Celia and Favor I too missed the forbidden communications.

...as Miss Scarlett would declare, "Oh, Fiddle-de-De!"
;-D
