Hi,

We are planning a trip to Kenya in late October and we have created following itinerary. While we are interested in game drives, we also want to see couple of additional scenic places... any comments on how we could improve below...

Thanks,

- Full board
Oct 22 - Morning and Afternoon game drive - Mara Leisure Camp - Full board
Oct 23 - Drive to Lake Nakuru + Afternoon game drive - Sarova Lion Hill Lodge
- full board
Oct 24 - Drive to The Ark (Tree Lodge) - full board
Oct 25 - Drive to Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari Club - full board - PM at leisure with optional activities
Oct 26 - After breakfast drive to Nairobi for lunch - Jacaranda Hotel - bed & breakfast + Indian dinner
Oct 27 - Early breakfast departure transfer

Personally, I'd leave the Masai Mara (minimum 3/nts if you can) to the end and reverse the itinerary. And, while the Mt.Kenya Safari Club is nice, and you may be fortunate to get a good view of Mt. Kenya, it's much more resort and basically a place to relax (unless you want to play tennis, horseback riding... at fee).

Maybe consider:
20 Oct - Arv. NBO - o/n
21 Oct - NBO; morning sightseeing; lunch; drive (2.5/hrs) to Aberdares, change to vehicle for drive to ARK* (taking only an overnight bag... balance of stuff remains at country club) - o/n
*transfers to The Ark are done at about 3pm
22 Oct - Drive (1.5/hrs) to Mt. Kenya Safari Club - o/n
23 Oct - Drive (3/hrs) to Lake Nakuru - o/n
24 Oct - Drive (5/hrs) to Masai Mara - o/n
25 Oct - Masai Mara - o/n
26 Oct - Masai Mara;
- Opt. 1, morning game drive, then about 12N drive (5/hrs) to NBO - o/n
- Opt. 2, morning & afternoon game drives, then fly 4pm (1/hr) to NBO - o/n
27 Oct - Depart

Sandi's version is better. Instead of MKSC, I'd stay at Serena Mountain Lodge in Mt. Kenya for more focus on wildlife.

I'm sure you know, but Dinner jacket and tie required men at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club.

You'll love the Ark, although it's under new management since we were there.
