Help for Photo Link on Kodak

Hi guys -
Can anyone help us with a suggestion for a working photo link in Philw's report - when I click on it, it comes back as invalid.

http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34674495

Phil has tried to fix it, but I still can't access it - help????

Lynda,
It's been a while since I've done anything with Kodak Gallery, but I think Phil needs to provide the new invite link. Then you click that and should be able to get in.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Leely -

You took the words right out of my lips. Happened to me also as both Jack and I think you Linda pointed out when you couldn't access my photos. The old links no longer work except maybe for the owner.

So, yes, PhilW has to send an invite, even to himself. Scroll down to the bottom of the invite where there will be a new link. That is what should now be associated with his photo album.

When I send a new 'share' invitation I don't seem to get a new link as sandi suggests. This original link seems to work when I access it but maybe because I own it !

Can someone please check this link (one of the links set out in my report) to see if they can access ?

Hi Phil, I checked it and it didn't work. This is what it says:

"The link you are using is no longer valid. If this link was sent to you in an email and you would like to view the photos, you will need to contact the album owner and have them share the album using the Gallery's share feature."

Jack

Thanks - I've tried something new. Could you try these links for each of the photo albums :

Samburu

Mara River Crossing

Phil,
I still couldn't get in. As a test, I'm trying to send an invitation to share some photos with myself. If it works, I'll go over the rigamarole here.

I think after a while the invitations on Kodak Gallery just somehow shut down. And that's not a technical term.

Okay, it was a pain, but here's what I did, Phil.

1. Go to Kodak gallery, sign in, etc.

2. Go to share gallery.

3. Pick an album.

4. Put your own e-mail address down. Send an invitation to view your slideshow ith yorself.

5. When your e-mail arrives, click on the link. Should now be in your own gallery viewing your own slideshow as an invited guest.

5. Copy the link in the browser of this window (umm, am I being unclear?).

6. Past that link here on Fodor's.

I hope you don't think I'm in any way patronizing you, Phil. Kodak Gallery always baffles me.

Here are a few photos I scanned (we used film and horrible cameras) from our trip in 2004:

Leely - we're writing back-to-back.

Philw - if this helps in addition, the new links are real strange looking. Below is one of the new links for one of my albums:

http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=...0&y=9qr37l

you can see how different they are from those you are posting. Again, in the invite you send yourself... scroll down to the far bottom where they say "if having trouble clicking on link, then cut & paste that link into the browser." This should then be what you post here for Linda.

Hope it works, now!

sandi,
I know! And I keep thinking "There must be an easier way to do this," as I fiddle around with Kodak Gallery.
