We went to Mahale mountains with Hilltop. Their camp is nicer than Greystoke and lots less money. Went on the boat both ways from Kigoma. What an adventure. Also went to Gombe that trip for the second time.

I spent three nights there September of 05, and it was magical...by the time you fly there, and take the boat, you will not get into camp until 1 pm or so (depending where you are coming from) so you will not go out that day...we went out the next two days and found the chimps quickly, watched them playing, feeding, walking by us so clsoely I could have reached out and touched them...the camp was lovely and I would do it in a heart beat.... I have been to many Nomad Camps (the organization that runs Greystocke), and they are always many notches above the rest of the camps I have been to on my many trips to Africa.....quality of guides, food, locations, tents, lack of other tourists....they have a great model going for them....
