I always wondered what the appeal was to shark dives. Now I know, that and more. I had no idea about preditor activities, etc.
15 minutes in and out of the water - that's cold. Would a very thick wet suit help?
On another note, I may know the hunter family that you were speaking about - could there be more than one.
If the same, they were actually quite notorious on the Wilderness trail. Did, by chance, they come from a state that starts with 'K'?

Always count on Lynn for great planning, reporting, and sightings!
I have been anxious to read this report and putting it off until I had time to read it all and it was well worth the wait.
This is the line that said it all for me: "I extended my 5 days of shark viewing to 7 because it was so fascinating."
Thanks for all the details and education on the experience. Can't wait to see the pictures.

This album contains all the photos from my Africa trip, including the sharks.
The first photo is the only goofy one and they are all numbered.

Accommodations—these are not the best photos. The Simons Town accommodations, where I stayed to see the sharks, are labeled Sea Spray and Central Hotel.

At last, the photos ! They were worth the wait, Lynn, and thank you for sharing them. These and your report will be invaluable to anyone thinking of going on a similar trip, better than anything else I have found. Your hard work is much appreciated. Julie
