thanks Rocco. Definitely worth considering. I 'm not sure whether Delta still has non stop flights to Cincinnati from John Wayne but worth checking-its only 20 mins from where I live and anything to avoid the hell hole that is LAX! What a joke for one of the US's largest international airports in comparison to JNB, for example!

(This does not merit its own thread)
I just was able to find Business Class seats from London - Cape Town, Cape Town - Joburg and Joburg - London without a problem. Did it all within the 15 minutes it takes me to drive to work.
Although this is earlier than I was thinking of, with my 35th birthday coming up on April 05, 2006, I had better get motivated very quickly to run the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon on April 15, 2006.
Tentative schedule:
4/12 Depart LAX - London
4/13 Arrive London. 8:30PM departure direct to Cape Town.
4/14 Arrive Cape Town at 9:30AM. 4 nights in Cape Town at Twelve Apostles or Cape Grace.
4/15 Two Oceans Ultra Marathon (or if I am a total flake I can still do the Two Oceans Half Marathon as a backup...13.1 miles for the 1/2 marathon, 35 miles for the Ultra Marathon)
4/16 Cape Town Hospital?
4/17 Cape Town Hospital?
4/18 Depart CPT-JNB-Maun. 3 nights at Jacks Camp
4/19 Jacks Camp
4/20 Jacks Camp
4/21 Chiefs Camp
4/22 Chiefs Camp
4/23 Chiefs Camp
4/24 Tubu Tree
4/25 Tubu Tree
4/26 Tubu Tree
4/27 Vumbura Plains
4/28 Vumbura Plains
4/29 Vumbura Plains
4/30 Westcliff
5/01 Depart JNB - LHR
5/02 London, 2 nights
5/03 London
5/04 LHR - LAX. Same day arrival.
