Wow Sonali, your trip sounds fantastic. Great sightings, particularly your encounter with the north end dominant male. How exciting that must have been. You must be a tiger magnet.

Thanks for the informative report. Lynn’s right: it’s a good India Tiger Safari primer. Glad to hear Taj/CCA was so good.

What did you end up telling the Germans?

Waynehazle.... good to know your wishes are fulfilled..... the tigers are sooooo beautiful....

Dana.... me and himanshu my guide we just were kind of tongue tied, we just did not know what to tell the germans, and as word spreads they got to know about my sightings from other guests.... I did not have the heart to tell them.....
We have become very good friends and as they live in delhi, they invited me over for a meal on my next trip when I left mahua, so I believe they took it quite sportingly, they really were very nice people, it was wonderful spending many game drives with them....

yes taj/cca was excellent...I loved it

Also the sighting of the north end male was magical, I really really wished to see him and loo he was there, and he spent alot of time with us, so I was very satisfied with my sighting, I believe in God and last year was extremely difficult for me as I lost my grandfather who I was very close with, and he was ill for like 6 months which was very painful...., so god showered his blessings on me and fulfilled my desires

Firstly i would like to upload maps of the bandhavgarh area and the tala range... when I tried to do that I got this answer that you have to upload in jpeg or some format.... my maps are on the widows media player.... how do I do this....

Also there was also a wonderful old documentary on discovery yesterday regarding the Sita the tigress and charger the dominant male ( I saw him for the first time yesterday and he is bigger than both the north end and south end male )... he is the father of most of the tigresses and tigers at bandhavgarh today... lovely documentary....Sonali
