Anyone purchased from NATIONWIDE AIRLINES?

I was planning to book two seats on South African Airways. Now, only one seat is available 'cheap' (Nelspruit to Cape Town ~ they have a non-stop). My next best option is on Nationwide (but isn't non-stop). Their website only accepts LOCAL credit cards.

Has anyone purchased from them? How did you pay for the ticket? What other options are there if you aren't buying the ticket in person after you arrive or don't have a local credit card?

Thanks for any ideas.

I purchased a ticket from them. I used an office in the US and mailed them a check. They held the reservation and gave me a week or two to mail my check. They either mailed or fedexed the ticket to me. Worked out fine.

Great to hear Did you do the reservations by phone? Did you get the same rates as available on their site (if you remember)? Thanks.

I also used a U.S. agent (danalee from bornfreesafaris.com) for a nationwide flight, she accepted credit cards. mailed me the ticket, no problem and it was the same price as on the web-site.

I didn't use a travel agent for my trip. I used the Nationwide Airline's website to figure out which flight I wanted. Then I called the US phone number listed on the website and the price was the same.

sundowner - thanks Worked fine as you said. I called the U.S. office. She assured me that the rate online is only valid for locals and that someone was mistaken if they told me they had received the same rate by calling the U.S. number.

I asked her to please check what rates she does have. She pulled up my flight and quoted within $10 per ticket of the internet fares

My tickets are on hold and I will mail them payment

Hello,

Thanks for starting this thread -- I've been trying to work out a way to buy Nationwide tickets without going through their extortionately priced UK website (with a nice fat 70% or so mark-up). I have an address in the US so I can buy the tickets and have them forwarded to me in the UK.

Cheers,
Julian

Worked perfectly

Found flight info online, called U.S. reservation number, my reservation was put on hold for two weeks, they emailed me booking information, I printed it and mailed them a check, and within a week FedEx has delivered my tickets!

Out of curiosity, how much did the FedEx charge run?

Cheers,
Julian

I just reviewed the 'invoice' they emailed and no shipping fee is listed, so it must be built into the taxes or fare. I'm sure it wasn't 'free' ;-)
