Egypt in 6 days itinerary - please advise

Hello fellow travelers,

I am planning a trip to Egypt in November and I'd love your feedback about my itinerary and places to visit. I am a male traveling solo and I am planning to do this mostly on my own (or maybe taking a tour here and there if it's more time-efficient). This is my plan so far:

Day 0: Arrive in CAI evening/night.

Day 1: Cairo: Egyptian Museum, Salah El Din Citadel (Islamic Cairo), Alabaster Mosque, Cairo Tower, Amr Ibn El Aas Mosque, The Hanging Church (Coptic Cairo), City of the Death, Khan El khalili Bazaar. Is a Felucca Ride worth?

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, The Sphinx, Sakkara Pyramid, Memphis

Day 3: Early AM flight to Luxor. Visit the West bank (Valley of Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsu, Medinet Habu temple. My concern here is that airport and transfer time may "eat" most morning. Would I have enough time here?

Day 4: Luxor East bank: Temple of Karnak, Luxor Museum, Luxor Temple (evening visit). Would I need more time in the east bank than in the west bank? Should I swap days here?

I heard that it's better to hire a tour/guide for Luxor as it will be more time efficient. Thoughts?

Day 5: Hire a taxi and leave Luxor early morning to Aswan. In the way, I am planning to stop and visit Edfu and Kom Ombo temples. Are they worth a visit? Would I spend the whole day if I do this?

Day 5: Arrive to Aswan and visit High Dam, Temple of Philae, Nubian Museum. I understand I will not have enough time for all of them, so I'll complete this visit the next Day.

Day 6: Leave early for Abu Simbel and visit the Abu Simbel Temple Complex. Back to Aswan by lunch time and continue visiting the places I could not visit the previous day.

Day 7: Taxi early morning back to Luxor and flight LUX - CAI.

Is this reasonable? Are these the right places to visit in each city?

Thank you all for your help!

I, too, am planning a trip to Egypt in November. While there are a couple of helpful souls here on Fodor's, most of my questions have been answered immediately and in great detail by experts on the very active Trip Advisor forums.

Cairo: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForu...vernorate.html

Luxor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForu...er_Valley.html

Though obviously I'm not in a position to give definitive answers, from what I've learned during a couple of months of planning (with help from a variety of sources) I'd say the following:
Day 1 sounds highly ambitious unless you plan just a glance through the museum.
Day 3 & 4, too much ground to cover on the west bank as there is driving & walking time between the sites, whereas the west banks seem more concentrated. So, yes, swap days.
Day 5, after reading & studying those 2 sites they seem very worthwhile to me, but that's subjective. So I imagine you'll need to cull something to do all you'd want on that day.

Do post your questions on TA and also look through some very informative threads already there, especially in Luxor, like this one posted by GParry about west bank sites:

When will you be there? Coffee at the Winter Palace?

"...whereas the west banks seem more concentrated."

Make that "EAST bank seems more concentrated.
