EGYPT AND AFRICA

MY WIFE AND I ARE WANTING TO BOOK FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY IN 2007. WE WOULD LIKE TO DO EGYPT (PYRAMIDS,SPHINX, NILE CRUISE), HIKE KILI, DO A SAFARI, POSSIBLY GORILLA TREK, VIC FALLS AND END WITH 2 OR 3 DAYS IN ZANZIBAR. WE HAVE 21 TO 24 DAYS FROM DEPARTURE IN CANADA TO RETURN. ARE WE TRYING TO DO TOO MUCH? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

God yes, all I can say is that if you try that then someone is going to collect on the life insurance.

Kilmanjaro takes a week by itself and getting between the various places you want to visit will take another week of travel alone.

You'll have plenty of time. I would advise adding a hike through Dogon country in Mali, a visit to the medina in Marrakech and a climb of the dunes in Namibia. Sounds great.

As thit-cho mentions, you've missed a few places.

To much. Just try coordinating air flights without having long layovers if the connection is even the same day; or overnights somewhere.

My suggestion: prioritize the things you'd like to do. As the other posters have indicated, this is way too many places for the amount of time you have.

I can sympathize; I'd love to do all these things, too (well, I'd take a pass on climbing Kili and just drink a Kili instead). But perhaps you should choose what is most important to you and go from there.
