Doha layover 20 hours from 1130 pm

HiI have a 20 hour layover in Doha airport starting at 1130 pm (Qatar airways economy)

I have booked a day desert and city tour for 2 that starts around 8-9 am.

My question is : what do I do for accommodation or sleep from 1130 pm to 8 am after arrival at Doha airport?

Quiet room? Lounges? Outside airport hotel? Oryx seems expensive?

How safe is it for mother daughter duo?

Thanks
texan

There are tons of hotels at all price ranges in the city center, which is a 10-15 minute taxi from the airport. Doha is perfectly safe.

Pull that hotel up on Google Maps and you'll see 1) it's not an airport hotel, despite the name, and 2) there are a million other hotels right around that hotel that aren't called airport hotels. Forget about the term airport hotel. Just pick a hotel in the city center in your price range that gets good reviews

Always use Uber over regular taxis. Uber is perfectly safe.

You likely won't need Riyal since credit cards are widely accepted. But if you simply feel you 'must' have some currency -- just use an ATM at DIA after you arrive.

The currency is called the Riyal. FYI, when you travel abroad, it might help to little effort so you don't come off as an "ugly American." A simple google search could have told you what the "foreign currency for Qatar" is called.

Correct. It's silly to get Riyal in the USA, and you'll get a god-awful rate if you manage to do so.
