uscmolly- I'm glad you enjoyed the trip report and photos! I planned this trip rather quickly over a couple months time. After picking the destination and finding affordable airfare, I used Fodor's and Lonely Planet websites to do the research. We only stayed for

We stayed for a week- 7 nights total. I wish we had longer- I would have loved to have gone to Fes and seen the coastal towns. The most difficult part of the trip is finding a guide/group for the desert journey. I used a private guide recommended on Fodor's and Trip Advisor and arranged our desert trip with him via email.
Luisah- thank you for your insights. It seems that destination becomes popular and over-run by tourist it loses some of its magic. I too was in Prague a few years ago and it was soo crowed with young Italian students I felt as though I could have been in Italy.

Thank you for this. We have been back for 4 months and I am still reading trip reports to enjoy it all all over again. I have been making chicken tagine and have sourced those lemons.I'd go with Turkey. I though Istanbul so beautiful, and our week there insufficient to do it justice. Would love to try rural Turkey next. Best of luck, happy travels!
