Wow ... 'short wet' indeed!

Anyone know the Dec rainfall amount for Seronera and/or Ndutu?

Just get on the web site of BBC or WHO and look up El Nino - torrential rains in east africa now and more to come. I'm booked ot go in march and am stronly considering backing out - too much money and dreams to have all washed away. 51 'extra' deaths in kenya due to flooding in november!

Is anyone actually in Kenya or Tanzania right now to give us an update re-weather, El Nino is affecting all of us even now. If this is the 'short' rain season, I'd hate to see the 'long'

When I was in Tanzania in August there were severe electricity shortages
most dams in the country being dried up.
So I guess if you are a Tanzanian you would still want plenty of rainfall.
In March if it is still raining there will be certain roads you cant use, the grass will be longer so you wont see easily the smaller animals, there will be a lot more insects
BUT you will still have a fantastic experience
and I wouldn't be camping.

When that "little child" appears, who knows what weather we'll have anywhere. As to the "long" rains... there just may not be any this year.

Weather or game - just no guarantee.
