I'm allergic to Sulfa, yet never had any problem getting into the water of the Dead Sea... I tell everybody not to dare skip it.... It's one of the most healthy places on earth... Especially for people with skin and joint (Arthritis) problems.

Thanks guys, especially you P_M
I think prudence would be best so as not to chance a reaction and ruin my trip, especially in God's neighborhood.
My last reaction occured handling potting soil containing a fair amount of sulfa, almost my entire body covered with an itching rash from hell! It lasted a week.

Well, you asked, we responded.... It's up to you. I can only tell about MY allergy to Sulfa... I was a child when my mom gave me Sulfa which resulted in a terrible itching rash.
But never had ANY problem going into the Dead Sea, which I try never to skip when in Israel (which I visit at least once a year).... I actually once cured an attack of terrible back-spasms by staying in the Dead Sea for a few hours...
