SubscribeHi All- Looking for approximate daily costs to hire a driver/guide and car for a couple travelling from Casablanca to Marrakech stopping at the typlical places, Fes, Chefchouan, Merzouga, Dades, etc. About 14 days. Looking for recommendations as well.
Any information is appreciated.

I can’t help with the cost info, but perhaps some of my other comments will prove of use.
· First, Morocco is very easy to visit without a car, driver, or guide … with the important exception of getting to a desert camp, and for that, it might make most sense to work with your camp to make arrangements. Public transportation -- trains and buses -- are very comfortable. Consult seat61.com for more info.
· “The typical places” you list are, I think, not necessarily the best places for a 14-day visit to Morocco.
You might find some useful information in my trip report:
Memorable, magnificent Morocco!
I hope that helps!

o I’m sure you realize that Merzouga is primarily a base for a trip into the desert at Erg Chelebi. I was glad to go instead to Erg Chigaga.
o I skipped Chefchouan after several friends told me it has become shoddy and is now overrun by tourists.
o Rabat – not only your list – is IMO one of Morocco’s gems.
· With 14 days, I think you will be hard pressed to see everything you want to see – but of course, that depends on what, exactly you want to see and experience. Have you looked at the Moon Guide? It’s excellent.o I skipped Chefchouan after several friends told me it has become shoddy and is now overrun by tourists.
