Worldcup: I agree with the others, you have put together a very good itinerary. I've been to Duma Tau and Kwara and had excellent wildlife experiences at both! Kwetsani gets very good reviews and sounds like a beautiful camp. I find that the 5 paw level of camp is very luxurious, romantic, and tend to have outstanding service so with wildlife as your priority much better to save the money -- I'm sure you and the Mrs. will be very pleased with your experience.

To follow on Moira's comment: I have to say that either WS or agents must have developed a definition that 6 paw camps = premier and thus it is more of a statement on luxury level only because the Kwando camps from a wildlife perspective without doubt are every bit as good as any other area in Botswana, certainly premier from that perspective and as good a bet as there is to deliver a big finish. Certainly if ending on a high note means having a choice of 200 wines on a leather couch in your tent that's Jao but if it means following wild dogs to witness a kill at the water's edge your a lot more likely to finish with a high note at Kwando Lebala which still has a lovely lounge and plenty of fine wine for the end of the day which may well come late as the emphasis is on the game viewing rather than having warm china for dinner.

World Cup Fan,

Are there any animals (or types of animals) that you and the Mrs. are more interested in than others, because that may help.

Obviously the different camps all have different accomodations, but they also offer different types of animals (especially with regards to the predators and the birds) depending on proximity to water, how open the plains are, etc.

I recently returned from a trek where we had specifically chosen different areas in the delta with the hopes of maximizing our chances of seeing the animals we most wanted to see, and it actually worked (obviously no guarantees for the future), so that might be something to think about.

Also, we stayed at Mombo, and frankly the room was overkill. Actually, all of the rooms were overkill. We hardly ever used them - we were out in the vehicle, eating, or sleeping.
