Bon Voyage Liz!

I know I'm a few days early but I didn't know if I'd be online over the next couple of days or whether you would be yourself what with all the pre-trip preparations!

Liz, have a magical trip and may you and Max be safe and well!

Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Bon Voyage too to any other travellers setting off on their African adventures!

Since Kavey started this, I will take advantage as well. Liz, have a wonderful, magical, exciting trip. I hope the sites, sounds and smells are all that you have dreamt them to be! Make sure you take copious notes and be prepared to write a lengthy report! Have a wonderful time!

Thanks so much, girrrlfriends-
Still have until Wednesday night. I'm sure I'll be 'on the boards' until we leave, as most of us post our farewells many times before we depart. Until you do it, don't knock it, right? heh, heh!
But I do appreciate that you two always are there in my amen corner and give me the lift to make that loooong flight and return. Hugs! Liz

Liz, picturing you and Max in the Delta is enough to put a huge great smile on my face. What with the canx trip last year I know you have been dreaming of returning to Botswana for quite some time!

Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks Kavey-
Still 2 days, into the crazy times of "WHAT? WE'RE OUT OF THAT????"

I hope everyone doesn't go through this. I'll let you know if you need to pack your wading boots. Isn't this just the last thing you'd ever expect? Southern Africa gets record floods and RAIN!
Oh well, it'll all work out. It will, won't it?

Um, Liz ... can I ask you do to me a huge favor??? I mean, um, well, you know ... My namesakes in the Mara are a bit lonesome, and, well, I really think that, um, er, they should have a namesake (or two!) somewhere in Botswana! So, um, well, if you don't mind ... quot;>

By the way, Kavey, it is not too far off for you and Pete to be leaving us for your great adventure!

And yes, Liz, your excitement is evident and absolutely warranted. Can't wait to hear of your adventures when you come back - and what a stark contrast this will be to your dry trips! Oh, I can't wait to hear about it!!! I am sure Max is just as excited and ready to get this adventure under way!

Liz,

Have a GREAT trip. However, I must add that after all that pillow talk recently I am surprised that I wasn't invited!

Susan-
Kavey is soon to be leaving and she is goint to lots and lots of places. I would think that she would soon be getting such a post......er.......uh

When I see you start like that, a broad smile crosses my face and I know what is ahead. Okay, how about a duck billed platypus? Chances are I may be likely to find one of these and I would be honored to add it to your collection. Let me know though.

Now, now Roccco - when SusanLynn and I offered ourselves up for your trip to Tanzania - you shrugged us off - so you can't pillow talk with anyone 'cept STD. In the future we have first dibs.

Now to you Liz - have a wonderful time, take lots of pics, name as many cats or whatever to keep our SusanLynn happy - and "stay dry" Boy, to think of the mold that is growing somewhere - hopefully in Africa it'll be a cure for something!

Travel safe!

Sandi,

Don't you understand that I was "saving" myself for Liz and Botswana? Jeez, talk about peer pressure!

Liz: Beggars can't be chosers, so I will take whatever you offer as my namesake.

Kavey: Yes, I am incorrigble! And well, while we are on the subject. Since you are going to Namibia soon, well, you know, there are lots of animals there too ...

Kavey: Sorry about that - wrong country. Just got done reading some fellow Fodorites' itineraries and I have Namibia on my mind. I know where you are going, friend, and well, there are gazillions of animals ... so, just one, even a litty itty-bitty one, for me, please?

Okay, so your plane leaves at midnight, right? Right. So if it is midnight on the 14th, you go to the airport at 9PM on the 14th, right?
WHAT????? YOU SAY WE GO TO THE AIRPORT ON TUESDAY??????? NOT WEDNESDAY??????? Oh GREAT!!!
So I guess this is it guys, and it couldn't come at a better time.

I shall take copious notes and memorize all the information about the flood and report back soon. Liz

Even sooner than you thought! How will the blood pressure stand it? (And I'm just talking about mine)!

And Susan I am indeed visiting Namibia at the very end of the trip - that's where we'll renew wedding vows. Collected the new rings this weekend actually.

Have a great trip, Liz! I'm very jealous that you are leaving now and I haven't even made plans for this year.
