After 24 hours of scrambling, I am almost out of Kenya!!!

First, thank you for your help!!! If it wasn't for you and my TA, we would be majorly stressing.

Delta changed my flights (only a $24 penalty....LOL)! Here is the new flights:

Thu 03JAN DELTA 80 OK O LV NYC-KENNEDY 540P D M **
AR AMSTERDAM 730A# BUSINESS

Fri 04JAN KLM ROYAL DUTCH OK D LV AMSTERDAM 1050A **
AIRLINES 561 AR ENTEBBE UG 850P

Then...
WB 106J 04JAN F EBBKGL SS2 950P 940P

For the return:
Wed 16JAN KLM ROYAL DUTCH OK D LV DAR ES SALAAM 1145P **
AIRLINES 569 AR AMSTERDAM 715A#

Thu 17JAN DELTA 81 OK O LV AMSTERDAM 920A L M 2G
AR NYC-KENNEDY 1150A BUSINESS

My only problem is that I have to make it to the PNV for the gorilla trek on the 5th. Actually, my other problem is that I still have three days in Kenya at Bateleur. Hopefully, somebody will be able to change something.

Good call. It sounds very bad now.

I'm starting to think Tanzania sounds nice... and wondering how and when my daughter can leave Kenya.

I think between your family illness and troubles in Kenya you'll end up having an amazing time

Is "WB" Rwandair? You've only got an hour to change planes in Entebbe, so let's hope that Delta can check your bags through to Kigale. I would think you shouldn't need a visa if your bags are checked through; you would just proceed to your gate. However, if you need to get your bags and recheck them, you might be able to talk them into letting you get your bags without the visa (it's been done in Kenya.) Have $50 handy, in case you need to purchase the visa.

Yeah...only an hour. How do I get Delta to do that? I have not purchased Rwandair tickets yet.

If the EBB - KGL segment is a separate ticket, then I don't know if they can ticket you all the way through. Are you sure you can even get the tickets on Rwandair?

Dr_Andrea

since you have only 1 hour in EBB
if they can't promise you to send suitcases direct to final destination,
i wouldn't send my luggage, but take only a "carry-on"!
(wash cloths if you need )

Excellent suggestion, Aby. As Dr Andrea is traveling Business Class, she might have more carry-on allowances. Go light and carry on!
