Africa Destination with no pills required?

I am looking for ideas for a 12 day trip to somewhere in Africa - western, southern, etc (including travel time from NYC) at the end of August. Here are my questions - We are pretty flexible on destination, but would like to do some sort of safari. Where would you guys suggest in the alloted time - do we even have enough time? Also, we can't take any pills (i.e. malaria) so not sure if there is anywhere we can go that doesn't require malaria, etc pills. We got a bunch of shots when we went to Thailand/Cambodia in 12/04.
Sorry to be so all over the place and vague, I am jsut trying to wrap my mind around a trip. Your suggestions are much appreciated!

You might have a look at the Madikwe reserve in S. Africa. It's a fairly easy drive from Joburg, is not in a malaria area, and has some excellent lodges and game viewing. You could combine a safari there with some time in the western Cape or along the Garden Route, and have enough time in the 12 days to get totally addicted to SA.

Namibia, especially its prime tourist areas (Etosha for safari, Sossosvlei for dunes) is largely malaria free and an excellent destination.

Fly into Cape Town. Do the Garden Route and finish at Shamwari sanctuary.

For game, Madikwe is a great suggestion. Kwandwe is another possibility. What is it you want from your trip, animals, birds, culture, scenic beauty? With more info about that we can focus more.
