linjudy,
Not til 08 or 09? That gives you several years to banter about the options. This could become a really lenghty thread! I've got thoughts on 08 and 09 too. I am thinking Zambia and Rwanda, respectively.

Returned a few weeks ago from our second trip to Africa. The first was in "03 to Botswana at some wonderful camps, a short visit to the desert in Namibia and ending in Cape Town. This time was spent entirely in Namibia with 2 1/2 weeks of self driving and 1 week of fly in camps to the north.
As much as I enjoyed this visit and it was a great time with fabulous locations and scenery, I have to say that the initial feeling of excitement that I experienced 3 yrs. ago arriving in wonderful Africa for the first time, can never be replaced in my mind. It's a memory that made an indelible mark and for me will always stand out as a one of a kind experience.

Although, i have been fascinated by wildlife and the natural world right from when i was a little kid, my first trip to Africa was purely co-incidental. I went on a business trip to Nairobi and opted for a 3 night add-on to the Masai Mara. Rest is history!!! That was 2001. I will depart on my 7th trip to Africa in August.
My second trip was the very next year, where i wanted to do Serengeti/crater in addition to the Masai Mara during migration. All my subsequent trips hv been to Southern Africa, but i do plan to return to East Africa sometime during the next couple of years.

Hi Judy,
Glad to see you're still around, just on a different forum. Italy..loved it! But have to admit, all I can think about is going back to AFRICA~
