Looking for Romantic, all inclusive w/ great food located on beach
My husband and I are looking for a Romantic all inclusive in Caribbean with GREAT food for 20th anniversary trip. We do not get to go places often so want to make sure it is done right. Food and luxury accomodations are most important. Ideally, the resort would be small, romantic with rooms on the beach having balcony or patio overlooking the water and luxury accomodations. We love to eat out so the quality of food is of utmost importance. Activities such as hiking and water sports would be a bonus. Mexico is out. Appreciate any advice from foodies/gourmands who have found places that are quiet, romantic, luxurious with great food.

I've been looking for something like that for our honeymoon!
From my experience, the places that seem to have the most lux all-inclusives have been Mexico, Jamaica, Antigua and St. Lucia. Aruba and Bahamas have all inclusives to, but the best properties to stay in those place are not all-inclusive.
Again this is what i have found in the beginning stages of my research. Mexico definitely has the best, but like you, it is out for us since we've both been there a few times.

Check out Galley Bay, Curtain Bluff, Hermitage Bay in Antigua, Jamaica Inn (has an AI option), East Winds Inn in St. Lucia, Peter Island Resort, Palm Island, Biras Creek, Anse Chastanet (meal plan option). Rather than being "chain" AI's such as Sandals or Couples, these are all upscale, unique, independently owned/operated smaller resorts.

I would say Palm Island in the Grenadines has that luxury that you are looking for, although it is more of a "rustic" type of luxury. It includes good food, private cottages 20 feet from the water with a patio that has bricks around it for priavcy. It's a smaller property, quiet, romantic with a beautiful beach and awesome water. I believe this will be the anniversary trip for you!
