Louisville KY Hair Salon

My husband and I have been box seat tickets for our first Kentucky Derby and we are staying at the Brown Hotel. What is the best hair salon in Louisville, especially one close to the Brown? (If one is not close, that's okay - I just want the best.) I need someone to do a blow out for me that morning and help me with my hat. Thanks!

If you don't get a response, you could contact the concierge at the Brown Hotel, who probably has lots of ideas.

Offhand, I can think of Z Salon and spa off 4th street. Not exactly next to the Brown, but an easy short cab ride. Definitely the cream of the crop as far as those places go.

I had found Z Salon online and thought that looked pretty good - thanks for the recommendation! Any idea how early I would want to make an appointment? I have no idea what time people start going to the Derby.

I would call them asap. You can't believe how crazy Derby can be around here. gates open at 8 am, most people I know leave around 10 or 11. There will be races all day, the actual Derby is run around 5 pm. So you have box seats and Brown Hotel.....lucky girl! You will have a blast. You will probably see some famous people at the hotel. here's a fun page to peruse:
