Santa Fe in April - Hotels with Pool?

I would like to visit Santa Fe at the end of April, 2014. I wanted to stay at the Inn of Five Graces, but there is no pool there. Does the weather generally allow for swimming in April? If so, how would the Spa at Loretto or the Four Seasons compare to the Inn of Five Graces? Any other advice or tips for a spring visit to Santa Fe would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've seen snow in May. I think poolside in April is probably pushing it. Try Inn of the Governors. They have a small pool, and I think it's heated although I've never used it

Outdoor pools won't open in April. Memorial Day is normal opening date for most pools. Lots of MUDs on trails etc if you want to hike.

The pool at the Inn of the Governors is open year round. My kids used it many years ago in late March.

April is still chilly in Santa Fe. Maybe you could try the other kind of pool and take an outdoor hot tub at Ten Thousand Waves or drive up to Ojo Caliente for a natural hot springs experience.

Inn of the Five Graces is much nicer than both Four Seasons and Inn at Loretto. Four Seasons is tucked away in a beautiful setting just a short drive into town (one of the best spots for a sunset cocktail). Some of the comments we've heard about FS is it isn't up to the standards of other FS but I've been in the rooms and the staff has been very nice so I'm not sure what their complaints were about. They have a nice bar with a good menu and their dining room is very nice as well. Inn at Loretto is a good location and the bigger rooms are nicely decorated.

Of those three and money was no object Five Graces wins hands down. Decor, service, location. When we stayed there several years ago it was one of the best experiences we've had at a hotel.

La Fonda's outdoor pool is heated and open year-round. We had been swimming there around Christmas when it was freezing cold.

In April, weather can be chilly and windy (we once even experienced snowfall in April!), but you may also enjoy temperatures in the 70ies. It depends on you if this will be enough for swimming.

We go into the pool, if it is heated, at any temperature (although I admit there is a brief tough moment when you leave the warm water and grab your towel).
