We are considering an apartment for 5 on London Connections at 3-53 Parliament View. I've seen that London Connections has been positively reviewed but wanted to confirm opinions on this lovely spot. http://www.londonconnection.com/Prop...ity=1&log_op=1
Thank you for your thoughts. (Not our first trip to London, but celebrating a major birthday with our 3 adult children.)

The views from the flat are VERY nice but I personally would prefer other areas - especially for that sort of price. It is on the south bank on the Lambeth bridge/Albert Embankment roundabout. Not a terribly long walk to Waterloo or Westminster tube stations -- but inconvenient enough.

I love the Southbank in general, especially for its friendly night life and restaurants. On my next (and umpteenth) stay in London, I will be booking there because I like being in that area as a neighborhood much ahead of other areas.
But it also really does depend on what you and your adult children are thinking about doing in London while there. I find the train connections and walkability super for what I like to do on a visit, but if you're family has a different daily agenda, those train lines and buses or walks might not work as well for you as they do for me.
If you've got an idea of how you'll be spending your time in London, then maybe taking out a map, marking the spots, and checking the transport logistics will help you decide.

Me too - but this place isn't on what most of us would call the South Bank. It is more across the river from Tate Britain. It is better than down at Vauxhall Bridge, but not like being in the center of things between Waterloo and Southwark.

Thanks, Caldarroste...I agree that the location is tempting, but particularly the view from the Parliament apartment was attractive. I could just see us sitting down in the evening with a nice single malt scotch, with that view before us. But we have settled on an apartment on Shaftebury Ave. Easy walks to almost everywhere we'd want to go. Easier for our kids to go out and enjoy the nightlife and get 'home'...but also the place has a 3rd bathroom. With 3 women and 2 men, we thought that 3rd bathroom was an amazing find.
Janisj, I always appreciate your input.
