Oudtshoorn vs. Ksnysa?
I have two open days in my itinerary following Hermanus. So far we have one night in Hermanus but could possibly extend that to two nights then head out to the Garden Route before flying out of Cape Town to return home.
Any opinions of the best spend of our open 2 days?

Knysna ... they are 2 very different places, semi desert vs lush greenery, coast, Garden Route, Knysna is better situated to visit other areas like Storms River, Plett, George, Wilderness ... however, it's a long way to travel for just 2 days from Hermanus rather stay in the Overberg region, Arniston, Struisbaai, De Hoop, Witsand ?

Thanks braaiseason - what would you recommend? this is our first time in SA and are just trying to see as much as possible however do not want to feel rushed.
We start our trip in CT x 3 days, Stellenbosh x 2, Grootbos x 1, then Hermanus x 1. We could potentially extend our night to two in Hermanus. Since we've been on the coast we thought going inland to Oudtshoorn and see the caves would be fun.

It's probably a good 4½ to 5 hours drive from Hermanus or Grootberg to Oudtshoorn so by time you get there it's not worth going/to late to get to Cango Caves for the last tour so you are only left with the next day to explore the area. Not sure which days you are in the winelands but from experience we found they close Saturday afternoon & all day Sunday, you might want to check this ? I always recommend 4 nights Cape Town 3 days for sightseeing & 1 day beach/shopping or re-visiting favourite places.
