How to get from Sardinia to Seville/Malaga?

I need some help on flight route suggestions on how to get from Sardinia (Olbia or Alghero) to Seville or Malaga in early June. My destination in Spain is Seville but I think malaga is close enough that I can spend a night in Malaga after an evening arrival after a stopover in Milan (both routes via easyjet), and then take a bus/train to Seville the next morning. Another possibility is fly direct from Alghero to Madrid via easyjet, but that would mean taking an AVE from Madrid to Seville. This option could be quite expensive unless i can buy the web fare on renfe's website and possibly annoying to book online with all the troubles going on Renfe website.

Does anyone have a better suggestion on routing? Many thanks!!

'all the troubles going on Renfe website' - The problems are, almost without exception, with credit cards of those outside Europe.

I have British bank cards, one even from Santander which is a Spanish-owned bank, but I have had problems booking RENFE tickets online.

GeoffHamer,

I do not want to take the OP's post off topic, (but you do not describe your difficulties). If you still have problems, perhaps post separately, maybe there is a resolution.

Best wishes.

Has anyone with a US credit card had any success with buying from Renfe? How about other international credit cards (I actually don't have a US credit card but have credit cards issued from other countries).

Piccolina,

Of course there has been success with the RENFE website, using US credit cards - tens of thousands of US tourists use it every year. Many tales of success can be found on here and other forums (after their complaint/query and after they have made the effort). I will consistently refer people to this - http://tiny.cc/yw8vf , and you can search the Spanish forum associated, for those success stories. Refer to a key in point 49, highlighted, in this guide which, as I said above is invariably the problem.

Best wishes.
