Iberostar Paraiso Lindo vs Iberostar Maya
I am traveling to the Riviera Maya in late November with my 2 adult children..one is 24 year old daughter, one is 19 year old son. I am 50. Looking to stay in either Iberostar Paraiso Lindo or the Iberostar Maya. The Maya is a little more expensive. Is it worth the difference? If anyone has stayed at both, please let me know your thoughts. Also, how far is one from the other. My understanding is that you can share some things at both but if you stay at the Maya you can eat at both sets of restaurants. If you stay at the Lindo you cant eat at the Maya.

The IB Lindo and Maya are part of the same complex (the IB Paraiso complex). The Lindo and Maya share ALL facilities except for two restaurants that are for Maya guests only. They are the gourmet and the Japanese restaurants. However, the Lindo has its own gourmet restaurant and you can use the Japanese restaurant at the IB Beach right next door. The Masya rooms are a bit bigger and the Maya buldings have elevators. Those are the only differences. Both give you ala carte dinnners every night of your stay and a concierge to make the dinner reservations for you.
You have the use of the same pools, bars, lobbies, etc. You can also use all the facilities at the IB Beach and IB Del Mar right next door.
Maya guests also have free use of the "wet" area of the spa.
Depending on the price difference, the Lindo usually gives you the most bang for your buck since you have use of the same acitivities and facilities.
There are activities all day long or you can sit and relax. There are nightly shows and a disco.
Make sure you take advantage of the extra eateries at the Commercial Center (also included) across from the Lindo lobby.

Here's one with the Maya/Lindo Beach/Del Mar--the four resorts are right next to each other and easily walked"

Also...the Maya and the Lindo are just on either sides of the same pool. Just cross over to get from one to the other. Just cut through the Lindo to get to the IB Beach and the Del Mar is on the other side of the pool from there.
It's easy to access all four resorts.
