Spain Itinerary - 7-10 Days?

Trying to put together a trip to Spain in a few weeks starting Feb 25th - ? Looking for advice on what to highlight for a 7-10 day trip. 3 adults.

Does Barcelona - Madrid (just one day for El Prado. It's a "must" for my dad.) - Seville make sense? Or am I missing Cordoba/Granada and the like? My head is spinning trying to put together what to hit while there...

Also, anyone have any tour guides/companies that may be able to cater to something like this?

Thanks so much in advance!

No reason for head spinning. With only 7-10 days you want to visit Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Cordoba, and Seville. Sure, there are plenty more interesting places but not with the amount of time you have.

That's helpful Bedar. Thanks for that. Tough to drop Barcelona but maybe that is the key.

I agree with danon.

With only 7 to 10 days, and with the El Prado as a given, I think you could see Madrid and Barcelona. Or you might consider "just" Madrid and surrounds (Toledo, Sevilla, maybe Salamanca or Cuenca). I, personally, would not try to fit Andalusia into a 7-to-10 day trip that also includes Madrid -- not enough time, IMO.

I would ONLY do Andalusia. If you like the country type of trip. It was so amazing. Seville, Ronda, and Granada.

I would do 3 nights Barcelona, take the high speed train to Madrid for another 3 nights and end in Seville for another three nights.

All three cities are totally different, maybe start in Seville and work your way to Barcelona. Seville is much more laid back and a good place to start a holiday, Madrid is a bit busier with lots to see and do within walking distance from the Puerte del Sol and then go the craziness of Barcelona and Las Ramblas.

We'll be there this month also and have planned on 5 nights in Seville, 4 nights in Madrid. Honestly it was decided this way because it was less expensive to fly into Madrid than it was to Barcelona and there are 4 in our family, so it made a big difference in cost. We'll fly into Madrid and take the high speed train that day to Seville.

I was also feeling overwhelmed about the actual planning but decided that we enjoy our trips more when we stay in one place long enough to feel like we really saw it and didn't feel rushed trying to make it to every sight.

In Madrid and Seville, we can take day trips from each (Toledo, Cordoba) if we feel that we've booked too much time in either place. Good luck. There is a ton of helpful info on this blog, as I'm sure you've already figured out.

Also there are some very nice vacation apartments to rent in Spain, some recommended on this blog. We used Spain Select and they've been very helpful, with great reviews.
