In ten days Paris and Cinque Terre

Hello there! Husband has left it up to me to plan this much anticipated return trip back to Europe! The journey is set for late spring of 2015 so lots of time to plan. Hotels with staff that are "glad" to help is very important-but of course so is the décor! Mid price range preferable to low or high. Please share your favorites from either of these amazing destinations. We are in our early 50s, love good un-fussy food and great wine!

Mid price could mean anything. What is you actual budget?

Have you been to either before? If so, which area(s) of Paris do you prefer?

<<Mid price range preferable to low or high.>>

What on earth does that mean? What's your nightly budget in euros? And what kind of décor is suitable to you?

We stayed at Hotel La Spiaggia in Monterosso and really liked it there. We stayed there in 2009 on a GoGetLost trip to Italy and still get Christmas cards from the owner, Andrea. Super nice owner, great location, a reasonable.

Wow thanks for the get to it questions and responses! I will definately "google" the listed hotels-thank you. Yes I have been to Pairs with my family-rented an apartment for a week in St. Germain! Would appreciate suggestions for this or the 10th arrondissemnet/Canal St. Martin. I've been to Roma, Firenza and Stressa-bellisimo!As for the "decor" that is wide open now, as I appreciate all input. We are currently paying for two college tuitions if that's a clue to our budget! We can afford more than a hostil but can't afford the Ritz! Many thanks for posting your wealth of experience.

That doesn't really give as any better clue to your budget - are you looking to spend €100 a night? €200 a night?

We liked our stay at www.arpaiu.com

ditto

>>Mid price could mean anything. What is you actual budget?<<

Something between a hostel and the Ritz (which isn't a possibility anyway since it is closed) means you are willing to pay between €30 pp and €1000+ a room. We can't really work w/ that.

Hey HF,

Why so coy?

What's your hotel budget?

What dates - prices change around that time of year?

Why Paris and the CT?

Wouldn't Tuscany be a better fit?
