Hi,
We are planning a 17 night vacation in west side usa by April end2013.so far the places we have decided to go are Las Vegas 4 nights which includes the Grand Canyon ,San fransisco 4 nights and Los Angeles 4 nights...so we have 5 more nights remaining,,,not sure wher to go.....jus got to read about Yosemite national park,,,unsure if we need a stay of 1 or 2 nights.we are 2 couples ,who would like to have a relaxed holiday with lots of side seeing ,eating ,pub hopping and a little of nature experience.

Sedona is beautiful. What do you like to do? Fishing off Catalina Island
near LA is fun. Or snorkeling there.
Santa Barbara is a beautiful coastal town to visit. Not much to do there except play tennis, but lovely. Lots of wine country in that area.
What are you going to do for 4 days in LA and 4 days in San F. ?
Lake Tahoe is a nice area. Do you want nice restaurants or nice camping?

You are really talking about the "west Coast" not the "WEST", in a way. DO go to Yosemite. You also might like to see the redwoods north of SF. That may be a long time in LA, depending on your desires.
There is the Big Sur coastline south of SF. And you might be able to shave a bit off of Las Vegas and even SF proper.

If the horseshoe is referring to the Glass Sky Walk thing, that would be the last place I would go. Not because I'm afraid of it, because it really isn't what most people like about a national Park. Adding a man-made object only detracts. Besides that is the west rim as I mentioned on the other thread.
