Swiss trip with no reservations
We are planning our fifth trip to Switzerland in June. It has been a dream of mine forever to travel without a plan! I am thinking about getting a Swiss pass for 2 and hop on and off trains and buses booking rooms as we go. My hubby is a little reticent. I know it's pretty low season and I think it will be a blast. Has anyone attempted this?

Hi movehershakeher,
Well, I did it for only a portion of one trip a few years ago, and it worked fine. I don't really think you'll have any trouble.
Just one hint -- in every town or village, go first to the tourist information office (usually right in the train station). These folks can advise you on hotel availability and make reservations for you. Just tell them your budget and your preferences (view, amenities, facilities), and they will set you up.
Have fun!

If he is stressed, book the first night and the last night. Then the worst that can happen is you need to take a taxi to find a hotel. We do it all the time across Europe and never slept in a ditch yet.
