P.S. The only tolled motorways in that part of Spain would be AP-7 (parts of the coastal motorway, usually more or less parallel to toll-free A-7) , AP-4 between Sevilla and Cadiz, and AP-46 from Málaga to near Antequera. In that part of Spain, the tolled motorways are labelled AP, A motorways are always free.

There are some "R" ( radial) toll roads now but do have the toll road round sign next to the highway number.
Not sure if there are any down south but some around Madrid and in the center of the country .

The tolled R (= radial) motorways exist only around Madrid.
In other parts of Spain like Catalunya toll roads are not necessarily identifiable by the numbering, but down in Andalucía it's dead easy to know as they all are labelled as autopistas (AP) and not toll-free autovías (A).
