Spain-Madrid to Toledo
I am flying into Madrid and go straight to Toeldo for a few days.
What is the easiest step by step way to get to Toledo from Marid Airport. It looks like Metro #8 to Nuevos Ministerios to # 10 to Tribunal to #1 to Atocha Renfe.....then what?
Also-what should the day pass to ride the metro cost? I back track the trip from Toledo to Atocha to catch a train to Seville in a few days. Should I go ahead and purchase my train ticket from Toeldo to Atocha upon arrival so I already have it or would I probably be ok to wait and purchase day of?
Thanks for any help provided

There is a bus that goes DIRECT to Atocha station from Barajas airport. It is the airporter bus that will make a couple short stops and finalize at the doors of the station! Cost 2E.
This is very easy. Walk outside to where the taxis are and look for the bus stop.
You can buy your train tickets at the Renfe office in the terminal T1 and T4 or at the station for immediate departures.

We took a taxi from Barajas to Peurto Del Sol about 25 E. Should be about same to Atocha. We took train from Atocha to Toledo (45 mins). Beautiful town but don't see spending 3 days there. There is a small caravan type train in the main plaza that takes tour around the outside of Toledo. Great scenery and the driver provides some history about the bridges used by the Moors and Christians to invade Toledo.

On May 21, 12 at 6:43pm BigRuss asked "Why do you need to backtrack from Toledo to Atocha to get to Seville?"
Quite simple. Because there are no direct trains (or buses) from Toledo to anywhere in Andalucía, including Seville.
