I can honestly say that there are no bad beaches in Naples, and I don't even own property there any more.

All the beaches are open to the public, and all are clean. For people from other parts of the country, there aren't cafes restaurants or hot dog stands on most of the beaches. You can go to the Ritz Carlton or a couple of other places in Vanderbilt Beach, or you can eat on the pier for a couple of bucks and you get what you pay for. Otherwise, take a picnic.

On a weekday, where parking is not a concern, I like Clam Pass. It's not as busy as other beaches.

On a weekend, or busy weekday when you need to find parking then Vanderbilt beach is better because it has a large parking garage. The garage can fill up on a very busy day, so you need to not be a late come on weekends.

Also on a weekday, or if you get out early on a weekend, Barefoot Beach, which you access off of Bonita Beach Rd. That's on the far northern end of Naples.

All 3 of those beaches have both food and restrooms.

Another reason I like Clam Pass is that you can ride the tide in or out of the pass - kind of a natural lazy river. The water temp in March won't be warm enough for casual floating around in the water.

I was in Naples last weekend and very few people were in the water.

I guess water temps are subjective...we were there last week and went in the ocean with no problem.

To sum it up..... all the beaches of Naples are fantastic. Clean, well-groomed and maintained white sandy beaches! There are no vendors along the beach, which helps keep the beach free from litter and also the beaches here are never as crowded as those a little further north in Ft Myers Beach. You can't go wrong, no matter which one you choose in Naples.
