Conveniently located on the Malecón Maldonado, one block from the Plaza de Armas, this restaurant specializes in Amazonian fish dishes like dorado (a white fish) in a camu camu (jungle fruit) sauce. Traditional regional specialties, such as the cecina con tacacho (a smoked pork steak with fried plantain balls) are also available. Start you meal off with a frothy caipirinha (a Brazilian drink made with lime, sugar, and the sugarcane liquor cachaça).
You can eat in an air-conditioned room, under ceiling fans in the front dining room, or at one of the tables on the Malecón, which is a great spot for people watching.
