The country's largest casino is off the marble lobby of downtown's largest hotel. You might call it a landmark, as its concrete facade is visible for miles. Perfectly serviceable rooms have subdued colors and surround an open atrium. This is a good choice for business travelers, as it has eight large meeting rooms and a convention center. Tourists appreciate that it's within walking distance of the city's historical district. The hotel is near the expressway, so it's also a short drive to San Isidro and Miraflores. Pros: Plenty of amenities, great casino, near several museums. Cons: Ugly facade, nothing Peruvian about the decor, neighborhood is dicey at night.
