Albano Balduzzi, descended from 200 years of Italian winemakers, built this 40-acre estate in San Javier in 1900. Today his great-grandson, Jorge López-Balduzzi, is in charge and pumps out a million liters of wine each year. The premium label features varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenère, Merlot, and a sweet late-harvest Chardonnay. Tours include a peek at the cellars that stretch underneath the property, and a collection of antique machinery, as well as a tasting. Within the estate is a beautiful expanse of oak and cedar trees perfect for a picnic, and if you want to get a bird's eye view of the estate you can take a flying tour of the vineyards in a private airplane.
