Oddly located in the downtown Best Western Hotel, this was Santiago's first Indian restaurant and some consider it the best. Whether you order a simple lentil dal or one of the more sophisticated curries, you're in for a good meal. As with all Indian restaurants in Chile, rice and naan cost extra. The main drawback is that unless you're downtown, it's a bit out of way, but there's a second branch in the Alto Las Condes shopping mall on Avenida Kennedy. The downtown restaurant is heavy on tapestries and shiny adornments.

Although there are now at least four more Indian restaurants in Santiago, the Majestic still maintains its place as #1. There is now a second locale in the rooftop Boulevard in the Alto Las Condes mall in the Las Condes suburb. It has large windows looking out toward Cerro Manquehue and a more open feel to it than the downtown restaurant. The food is the same high quality and the service as discreet as ever.
