Hotel Kennedy
Av. Kennedy 4570, Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan, 7630454, Chile, Santiago, ChileWhy We Like It
For convenience to uptown Santiago, this hotel is very convenient, with good highway access to many financial institutions and both Las Condes and Vitacura, as well as ski areas. It is a classically comfortable hotel with a good restaurant, cozy bar and all the amenities a visitor could want.
Fodor's Expert Review
This glass tower may seem impersonal, but small details show the staff cares about keeping guests happy. Located close to the the main road out to the mountains, it's popular with skiers who prefer to make the 45-minute journey each day, rather than pay higher hotel prices up by the slopes. Ask for the quieter rooms on the side away from Avenida Kennedy.

Room
Tidy and clean, with framed prints, plush headboards and high-quality sheets. Rooms are carpeted and quiet, especially those that do not front onto Avenida Kennedy.
Tip The difference between a standard and a suite is substantial, so if your budget allows it, consider a splurge. You'll be rewarded with more than double the space and a lovely terrace overlooking green space.
Bathroom
Spacious, with marble-topped vanities, large stall showers or tubs. Suites have jacuzzi and bidet.
Lobby
Marbled and glossy with some upholstered wooden furniture for seating. Attended by doormen in red coats and black hats.
Pool
This hotel is very unusual in that it has two pools, one indoor (heated), and one outdoor for catching some rays in warmer months. Neither is very large, but both are clean and in great condition. The indoor pool has a fountain feature.
Spa
There is a sauna, and dedicated massage rooms for relaxation made-to-order.
Gym
Modern and expansive, with treadmills, elliptical machines, weights, etc.
Dining
Onsite Aquarium restaurant serves international cuisines, with standout desserts and excellent service. There is a lunchtime business-person's special with a set menu Monday to Friday.
Drinking
The Brandy Bar is not limited to brandy, serving other mixed drinks and wine as well in a handsome, comfortable atmosphere that aimed towards its refined clientele.
You Should Know The bar here closes at 11:00 PM, so if you're planning for a late night, you might start here and then head out, not the other way around.

Getting Around
This hotel is on an offshoot of a busy street that connects it to the expansive Parque Arauco mall. If you are doing business up here or are planning on heading to the ski slopes, it is easy to get around, but most people will do so by shuttle/Uber/Cabify/taxi. Connectivity is great, but metro access is not.
Restaurants
Since the hotel is close to Parque Arauco (10-minute walk), this is a popular place to get dinner. Many higher-end chain restaurants have locations here, or try Carlo Cocina (10-minute walk), a buffet of charged-by-the-plate Chilean specialties. Or go a bit farther afield, to Nueva Costanera (5-minute drive) to Casa Costanera to try Pomeriggio (7-minute drive) for mozzarella-based specialties, or the steakhouse Rubiyat (6-minute drive), or Boragó, (5-minute drive), Chile's highest winner in the to 50 restaurants, serving innovative preparations of unique food. Or head downtown to Bellavista (10-minute drive) to try the ancestral food at Peumayén (9-minute drive).
